Congrats to the LCSC 98 Girls White team as they competed at the CESA 23rd Annual St Francis Sports Medicine Soccer Classic.

They kept it close for two 1-1 draws on Saturday and a 1-0 win on Sunday to make it to the championship game. Against a very skilled Concorde Fire team, the girls went 80 minutes through regulation time and extra time to a final PK shootout. Goalkeeper Bryce Kinard stopped the first shot and the team took the rest in their hands to make their shots for the win. It was a great team weekend for a great team championship.

Charlotte United Under Armor Cup Success for 98G White
The LCSC 98 Girls White placed as Finalists in the Charlotte United Under Armor Cup’s top U13 division. The tournament was held November 19-20, 2011 in Rock Hill, SC. Following a win and a loss on Saturday, the Sunday morning semi-final ended in a spectacular goalkeeping display– the opposing team’s first two attempts were stopped by goalkeeper Bryce Kinard, while LCSC converted all their attempts to win the game. The final game was a re-match from Saturday’s loss against one of the top rated U13 girls teams in North Carolina. LCSC team changed up their formation and plan and successfully ended the first half in 1-1 draw, but sadly, the final was not to be. All in all, it was a great weekend of soccer by some terrific players for a well-deserved Finalist medal.
