How long is soccer season for recreational players?
Season is 8 weeks (Feb. 14 thru Apr. 11, 2010) plus a make up week(Apr. 18).
What day of the week and how early are games played?
Games are played on Sunday afternoons and begin with teams starting play at 1:30 pm.
What dates do games begin?
The first games for spring 2010 begin on February 14th.
How soon will parents be notified of coach and practice days?
Parents should be contacted by the coaches by Feb. 3rd.
Are all recreational games played at Gibson Rd. Fields?
Games are played at Gibson Road fields in Lexington, Old Barnwell fields in West Columbia and a few in Gilbert and Batesburg-Leesville.
Does league require a certain length of time for practices?
No there are no formally stated requirements but practice slots are typically one hour long. It is up to each coach to determine the appropriate practice length and number of days per week needed to prepare for games. Typically U4-6 teams practice once a week; U7 teams practice days/times depends on coach; and U8 and older teams practice twice a week.
Can a parent request that a child practice on a certain day?
No practice requests will be considered. Some children simply choose to miss due to other activities.

Is a medical form required or necessary for registration?
No medical release forms are necessary for recreational soccer.
What does the registration fee cover?
The registration fee covers the cost of team uniforms (shorts, socks and jersey). Parents must supply shin guards, cleats and soccer ball for their child.
