The Coast Spring classic was held April 27-28 in Myrtle Beach, SC.

The boys played 4 games on Sunday, as fields were closed on Saturday due to poor field conditions.

In group play, Liverpool defeated Vally AFC (from Roanoke, VA) 3-1.  They followed with a victory over the home Triad Elite squad, 4-0. In the final match of group play, the boys defeated last year’s champion CASL Mambas 3-1. 

The championship featured a Liverpool - Valley AFC rematch, which the boys won 2-0.

Liverpool 98 Elite is coached by Alan Riches and Sloan Plumer.

The Liverpool "Cleats for Kids" White team took Gold in the U9 Academy division, and the Blues took Silver in the U8 Boys Red Division.

The white team (shown below) were 2-1 in group play.  In the championship match, their only loss, beating Easley Soccer Club 3-1 for the win. 

Liverpool Blue played in the U8 Division, and went 1-2-1 in the round robin format of the division.  Blue tied for 2nd place, and had a higher goal differential, which earned them the silver.

]]> http://www.lexingtoncountysoccerclub.org/home/713138.html Liverpool Teams Excel at Academy State Cup 04/19/2013 09:18 PM http://www.lexingtoncountysoccerclub.org/home/711701.html Liverpool’s U12 Girls , playing for the last time as LCSC 00 Blue, won the state championship in the U12 Girls Academy Blue Division.  The girls, Coached by Dawn Mireles, kept a clean sheet in 4 games of group play.  They outscored opponents 10-0, and were undefeated in group play.  They advanced to the finals match, winning 2-1 against a very tough Discoveries team.

Liverpool’s U11G White team, playing as LCSC 01 White, finished as finalists in the U11G Academy RED division.  They were undefeated in the round robin format and had a higher goal differential than the champions.  The tiebreaker was goals against, and White gave up 1 more goal than DSC.  Liverpool U11G White are coached by George Reeves and Britt Poole.

Liverpool U10 Boys were able to overcome a opening round loss to advance to the finals vs SC United Blue.  On the muddy pitch in Sumter the boys lost 5-2.  We are very proud of the boys and how hard they have worked this year!  U10 Boys are coached by David Enzastiga.

 

Liverpool’s U10G KFC Team, playing for the last time as LCSC Kids Fight Cancer, were finalists in the U11 Girls Academy White Division.  The girls were 2-1 in group play, and lost a heartbreaker in overtime to PUFC Maroon 1-0.  The girls are coached by Rich Dunning.

Lexington County Soccer Club is now a part of Liverpool FC America and the world famous Liverpool FC in England.
 
Liverpool FC is one of the most decorated and successful club teams in the English Premier League. They hold 18 Premier League Championships, 5 European Cup Championships, 7 FA Cups, 7 League Cups and 3 UEFA Cup Championships.  They won their first championship in 1901 and have a long history of winning and playing the “Liverpool Way.” All of our players are now part of that incredible, winning tradition – one of the greatest in the history of the game.
 
For our recreational players, you will continue to play in the Lexington County Recreational League, which is also run by our club. Rec uniforms will bear the new club name – Liverpool FCA- South Carolina, and will bear the Liverpool logo on the uniform. You’ll be able to cheer the full team when they play on television in the English Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League and know that when you’re ready to take your game to the next level, there is an entire support structure to assist you in whatever soccer goals you will ever hope to achieve.
 
For our Academy, Classic, Challenge and Premier teams, you will compete statewide, regionally and nationally under the name Liverpool FCA – South Carolina. We are the only club in South Carolina that will have this distinction and our new club colors will be Liverpool’s famous Red & White! Our uniforms will be Liverpool uniforms and you will be Liverpool players! Among many other benefits, this means:
 
  • Member access to the Liverpool website – including online evaluations, training recommendations and training videos to help players improve your playing skills
  • Summer camps at our facilities in Lexington to be run under the direct supervision of Liverpool coaches who will be travelling here from England
  • Evaluations by Liverpool coaches - including the potential for recruitment to the Liverpool Academy in England (Liverpool FC America - Texas had a player recruited last year)
  • Learning how to play soccer the “Liverpool Way” by training methods with a long, tested and proven history of success at the Liverpool Academy.
  •  An opportunity for teams to travel to Liverpool for training in the Liverpool Academy, games against local teams, touring the facilities and attending games at Anfield.
  • Access to Liverpool’s College Athlete Placement Program - which will assist age appropriate players  in preparing a soccer resume, contacting college coaches and helping you find placement on a college team.
 
In addition, coaches will have access to Liverpool training programs, along with the opportunity to travel to England for intensive training from Liverpool coaches at their Soccer Academy and training from Liverpool coaches while they are in Lexington for our summer camps.
 
I cannot express to you how exciting this is for our club and our players. This affiliation with Liverpool FC will provide a substantial benefit to each player that plays for our club. We are currently in the midst of an extensive billboard, direct mail and e-mail advertising campaign to spread the word to the South Carolina soccer community.
