Lexington United 96 Girls were very excited for all their hard work to result in a State Cup Championship title at the Publix Palmetto Cup this past weekend. 

They began Saturday morning with 4:4 tie game against Aiken Blast Red, but then easily won 4:0 in the afternoon against the CASA Explosion.  Sunday morning they faced Columbia United Red and played a physical game to win 4:2. The day ended with the girls again facing CUFC Red and playing up to their full potential for a 6:2 victory, which earned the team the championship title.

Coach Ken Washburn said, “This is a very special team and I’m so proud of how all of the girls played.”  He and Asst. Coach Daniel Calderon agreed that it’s been a rewarding year for everyone involved with the Lexington United 96G players!
