LCSC 2011 - 12 Academy Teams
Player Tryout Numbers and Acceptance Instructions

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM!

Below are the selections for Lexington County Soccer Club’s 2011-12 Academy teams. Please return to the Registration section of the website between 6:00 PM on Monday (5/16) and 12:00 PM Midnight, on Wednesday (5/18) to signal your acceptance by making a deposit payment of $125.

If you are having difficulty in accessing the website, please contact your assigned coach for assistance. If you are unable to contact your coach, contact me at helmuttissler@aol.com or via text at 803-361-5713.

Please note that the deposit payment is $125 (not $100, as indicated in some literature that was handed out). I apologize for the discrepancy. The initial $125 is intended to cover the cost of the uniforms, which have to be ordered well before the second installment payment is due on July 1. After the deposit, installments will be in the amount of $120 each and are due on July 1, Aug. 1, Sept, 1 Oct 1 and Nov 1. Of course you can pay your full balance at any time.

Any player more than thirty days in arrears will have their playing privileges suspended until all club dues have been paid.

If anyone will need an extended period to make payments or has some other financial hardship, please contact me at helmuttissler@aol.com or at 803-361-5713 (voice or text), so that we can make arrangements accordingly. Any such contact will be held in close confidence by the club administrators.

IMPORTANT: When accepting your position on a team, please be sure to select the appropriate team or pool to which you have been assigned per the table below.

If you are listed as an alternate, you will not be able to accept until you have been contacted by the coach of your team.

99 GIRLS WHITE & 99 BOYS WHITE EXCEPTION : If you are playing on either 99 Boys White or 99 Girls White, your are a u-12 team, playing at the u-13 level. Due to limitations of our website, you will not be able to accept your position until all other u-13 teams have been set up and announced on Saturday, May 28, 2011. At that time, you will have adequate time to revisit the web site and make your payment. In the meantime, we would ask you to contact your coach (Ken Washburn – 99 Girls White - kwashburn@sc.rr.com or Greg Shealy – 99 Boys White - shealy.greg@gmail.com ) to let them know that you will be accepting your position on the team.

Academy Program

LCSC’s  Academy  program is geared towards young players from ages u-9 through u-12.

Academy teams are pooled into age groups from which coaches may select one or more teams to play in league play and tournaments. The advantage of pool play is that coaches can move players freely within the pool to give them the greatest potential to be successful with players of a similar age and level of skill. Players are trained by both academy and team coaches. Emphasis is on technical aspects of the game, in order for players to become comfortable with the ball at their feet, as well as movement without the ball.

Academy teams play in the Sandlapper League, which competes throughout the state of South Carolina. Teams also participate in two to three tournaments per season, in South Carolina as well as neighboring states.
